Finca Los Angeles is located in the mountains of Apía, Risaralda. This land has been home to the Londoño family for generations, and in 2019, Juan Camilo Londoño, a passionate and visionary young man, took on the challenge of continuing the family legacy.
Juan Camilo decided to blend traditional practices with innovative techniques to elevate the quality of the coffee produced. With 16,000 trees in production, he implemented homogeneous harvesting, ensuring that only the fruits at their peak ripeness were picked. Camilo also implements the Honey processing method, in which the mucilage (the sticky and sweet layer surrounding the coffee seed) is left on the bean during the drying process. This technique directly influences the flavour profile, resulting in sweeter, fruitier cups, followed by both solar and mechanical drying. These techniques highlighted distinctive flavour profiles in his coffee.
Tasting notes: Stone fruits, honey, white chocolate
